This image, Men’s Lit. Chorus, was printed in the 1930 Greystone student yearbook.

Student variety shows were organized by the Literary Directorate, whose stated purpose was two-fold:

“First, it has striven to reflect campus life and provide real entertainment for those students who are so charitable to attend. And secondly, it has tried to make the Convocation Hall footlights a training for those students who are stage-shy and uneasy when appearing in public.”

The image itself is from the musical comedy Feet of Clay which “surprised an expectant audience with its array of male beauty, and the agility of its chorus girls.”
